Scrapbooking Tips

1. Add some kind of insert
It could be anything! Try a ticket from an event you speak of, a postcard, anything will do as long as it has something to do with your theme! If you are doing something for a young child, this could be a toy of some kind. Be creative!
2. Don't cover up the paper completely
I will tell you a little secret. When I get a bunch of scrapbooking paper, I feel bad covering it up completely. My friend, it is totally OK to leave some space blank, and in fact I encourage it.
3. Find keepsakes
Hunt everywhere for little keepsakes for scrapbooking. Remember, the sky is the limit when you look for things to insert. For a little tip, kids are particularly good at finding those interesting items!
4. Use color
Really and truly, I love a scrapbook a ton more when it has a burst of color! Don't overdo it, but make your scrapbook fun, like those pop up kids books. I would actually go to bookstores and browse children's books for ideas.
5. Make it count
Don't store your book in the farthest corner of your room thinking one day you will use it. Make them as birthday gifts, and friendly surprises. Make it count.
